Burns & McDonnell in Kansas City is seeking an Assistant Electrical Designer to assist in planning, drafting, and documenting electrical designs across a diverse project portfolio.

You will create schematics, grid layouts, power and lighting systems, and support the design team with CAD setup, drawings, and revisions, ensuring codes and standards are met.

This role requires a bachelor or associate degree with related experience and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in drafting technology or related field with 2 years of related experience, or Associate Degree with 3 years of related experience.
• 4 years of progressive detailing and design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Excel to develop the design deliverables.
• Ability to utilize both 2D and 3D applications to prepare engineering drawings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Mansioni

• Assist in planning, site evaluations, and preparation of electrical plans.
• Create electrical schematics, grid layouts, lighting, protection and controls.
• Prepare engineering drawings from rough sketches using CAD software.
• Perform drawing production, layout, and calculations for non-routine tasks.
• Maintain revisions and organize project drawing files.
• Ensure designs comply with codes, standards, and project criteria.
