Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is hiring a Department Manager in Electrical Engineering to lead our Buildings Engineering Services team in the Mid-West region. This role oversees staff, directs work, and aligns with the discipline's vision to deliver high-quality electrical solutions for a wide range of buildings.

The position emphasizes leadership, project profitability, and collaboration across groups, with responsibilities spanning design, marketing collaboration, and performance evaluations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of professional Electrical Engineering experience.
• P.E. license.
• Demonstrated leadership across large groups of employees.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and AGI.
• Strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and manages operations to ensure the quality of the technical products.
• Establishes effective long-range objectives, goals, and plans for assigned team.
• Provides technical and management leadership to the assigned team.
• Develops marketing program in conjunction with discipline goals.
• Advises and assists professionals in other groups when expert knowledge and expertise is required.
• Manages activities so an adequate profit is earned on all projects.
• Reviews monthly productivity and labor hour utilization-rates, reports and makes adjustments as needed.
• Assigns projects to staff and schedules work.
• Evaluate Employee Performance in accordance with company policy.
