Job summary

Granite City Electric Supply is seeking a counter salesperson to service customers, enter orders, and provide value-added service. You will gain product knowledge and collaborate with other departments to drive sales and customer satisfaction.

Pay starts at $25/hr with a monthly commission plan; relocation and housing packages may be available. Candidates should be reliable, organized, and able to lift up to 70 lbs and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous business, construction, or electrical industry exposure preferred but not required.
• Electrical knowledge from a trade school helpful.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers by phone and in person; fill and transfer orders accurately.
• Enter stock, direct and back orders as required by customers.
• Maintain sales area; keep shelves stocked and organized for fast service.
• Assist in promotions, showroom displays, and counter days.
• Attend trainings to build product knowledge and sales skills.
• Support inventory and warehousing activities as needed.
• Work safely; project a professional image of Granite City Electric Supply.
