Job summary

Collins is seeking an experienced electrical controls engineer to design, implement, and support electrical and process control systems across its Lakeview, OR and Chester, CA facilities. You will lead capital projects, maintenance activities, and continuous improvement efforts to keep production safe and efficient.

The role requires PLC/HMI expertise, strong leadership, and experience with 480V systems and remote plant operations. Occasional travel to multiple Collins facilities is expected.

Qualifications

• Oregon electrical supervisor license or P.E. required.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing plant or similar position.
• Experience with 480V systems required; up to 13.8kV preferred.
• Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Experience with continuous manufacturing processes.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley & Direct Logic PLCs, Wonderware HMI, FactoryTalk or equivalent.
• Ethernet network design and implementation, including fiber and 10/100/1000BaseTX.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, maintenance, and manufacturing policies.
• Design, develop, install, troubleshoot, and oversee electrical or mechanical control systems and equipment.
• Analyze plant processes to implement changes that improve efficiency and productivity.
• Provide technical support for PLC-based hardware and software; troubleshoot problems.
• Assist with planning and budgeting for projects, maintenance, replacement, and shutdown activities.
• Support process engineering, troubleshooting, optimization, and yield improvement; configure process control interfaces.
