Job summary

Collins is seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer for our Chester, CA facility. You will design, integrate and implement electrical systems across wood products manufacturing, and support capital projects, maintenance, and plant reliability. Travel to other Collins facilities, work weekends, and respond to call-outs as needed.

A Oregon electrical supervisor license or P.E. is required, with 3+ years in manufacturing and hands-on with 480V systems, Allen‑Bradley, Wonderware HMI, and

Qualifications

• Experience with 480V systems is required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing plant or similar position.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with excellent communication.
• Proficient with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial automation.
• Travel to other Collins facilities and respond to callouts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, installs, troubleshoots, and oversees electrical or mechanical control systems, equipment, and machinery.
• Examine plant processes and designs to implement changes that improve efficiency and productivity.
• Provide maintenance and operations support, capital project implementation and other continuous improvement initiatives.
• Create and maintain electrical/process related drawings and SOPs.
• Coordinate with in-house and outside contractor personnel as needed.
