Job summary
ST Equipment & Technology (STET) is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to design, integrate, and support automation systems for its advanced separator equipment at the Needham, MA facility.
The role involves developing PLC and HMI software, configuring industrial networks, and providing remote and on‑site support for international deployments. A Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering and 2+ years of controls experience are required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering is required.
- Two years of experience with industrial equipment controls is required.
- Experience programming PLCs (Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 preferred) and HMIs (Ignition preferred, Aveva InTouch, C-more).
- Strong understanding of electrical wiring, high voltage equipment, sensors, networking, and troubleshooting.
- Willingness to travel internationally for commissioning and support.
Responsibilities
- Design and install electrical and control systems for STET equipment to meet NEC/international codes and safety guidelines.
- Develop PLC and HMI software for processing plant capital projects.
- Configure LANs/VPNs and support local/remote operations.
- Provide remote technical support to sites and travel for commissioning.
