Job summary

ST Equipment & Technology (STET) is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to design, integrate, and support automation for their separator equipment. You will develop PLC and HMI software, configure networks, and support global customers from STET's Needham, MA location.

The role requires a Bachelor's in electrical/computer engineering and 2+ years' experience with industrial controls, PLC programming, and HMI systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering.
  • At least 2 years of experience with industrial equipment controls.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Studio 5000, RSLogix500, DirectLogic).
  • Experience with HMI platforms (Ignition, Aveva InTouch, C-more).
  • Experience with Historian servers (Aveva Historian, Ignition Historian).
  • Strong understanding of electrical wiring, power distribution, sensors, networking, and industrial communication.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for commissioning and support.

Responsibilities

  • Design and install electrical and control systems for STET separator equipment.
  • Develop PLC logic and HMI interfaces.
  • Configure LANs, VPNs, and networked automation environments.
  • Provide remote technical support and on-site commissioning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and customers.
