Job summary

CapstoneONE Search seeks an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to maintain PLC-based control systems in a manufacturing environment. You will program Allen Bradley PLCs, lead projects with skilled trades, and support operations in electrical troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role reports to the Senior Engineering Manager and requires collaboration with the engineering team to define system control needs and implement engineering changes.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering degree required.
• Proficient with Allen Bradley PLCs.
• Experience programming, installing, starting up and debugging robotic production systems.
• Able to read and edit electrical schematics.

Job description

We are representing a very prominent manufacturing organization who is actively seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer due to a continued growth/new business. This position will report to the Senior Engineering Manager who is looking to begin the interview process ASAP.

Position Overview:

• Provide key input into the development of departmental strategic goals along with identifying key measurable to support the departmental goals
• Maintain PLC based control systems for manufacturing automation and instrumentation
• Program PLC ladder logic (Allen Bradley)
• Lead projects and assist skilled trades in electrical disciplines
• Support operations in electrical/controls troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities
• Work closely with engineering team to define system control needs
• Assist corporate controls in engineering changes and new programs
• Guides design, develops and tests electrical control methods, materials, processes and results
• Champion assigned engineering changes communicate and coordinate accordingly to all

Requirements

• Electrical Engineering Degree is required for consideration
• Candidate should be well versed in Allen Bradley PLC's
• Experience in programming, installation, startup, and debug of integrated robotic production systems
• Proficient in reading, interpreting and editing electrical schematics and diagrams
