Electrical & Controls Engineer (Peoria, IL)

INTEGRIS is looking to add an ELECTRICAL & CONTROLS ENGINEER to our company’s core engineering team. This position would be based in Peoria, IL and is open to remote work scenarios.

The candidate can expect to work in an environment with a focus on quality and efficiency. A qualified candidate does not have to meet all the experiences listed here; an aptitude to learn is the number one qualification.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

  • A genuine interest in inland waterway transportation, cargo, grain/bulk material handling, barge operations, or agriculture industries is a plus.
  • BS in EE or related field along with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of control theory, PID tuning, and stability analysis.
  • Experience modeling and/or interfacing with pneumatic, hydraulic, or other mechanical systems.
  • Experience with a variety of controls hardware.
  • Mechanical and/or structural experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with code compliance.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Diverse skill set, with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.

PROJECTS AND TASKS

  • Participate in the new product development process, including inception, feasibility, project planning, detailed design, manufacturing, field implementation, testing, product launch, and field problem resolution.
  • Electrical system component selection, BOM creation, and schematic creation.
  • Work closely with suppliers and vendors.
  • Electromechanical and electromagnetic device design.
  • Embedded and power distribution systems design.
  • Interface with industrial and collaborative robots.
  • Ability to handle onsite support and work directly with end users.
  • Support system builds and implementation.

TOOLS AND TECHNOLOGY

  • MATLAB/Simulink
  • CODESYS, RMC Tools, EPLAN
  • AutoCAD Electrical
  • LabVIEW
  • PLC, HMI, SCADA programming (Allen Bradley)
  • SolidWorks experience is a plus.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
  • Background check will be conducted.
