Job summary

KPI Solutions, a systems integrator serving the logistics and automation sector, seeks an experienced controls estimator to develop electrical designs and cost estimates for complex integration projects. You will work with the Controls group to deliver practical, standards-driven solutions and support project delivery from pre-sales through commissioning.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in controls estimation and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of controls estimation experience; 8-10 years preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or trade school equivalent in PLC/Controls Engineering.
• Experience with design/commissioning/troubleshooting of controls systems using major platforms.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical controls schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Provide labor and materials estimations for controls projects.
• Coordinate with project managers and vendors on pricing and project support.
• Stay current with electrical safety standards and control panel design practices.
• Travel up to 25% to KPI locations as needed.
