Job summary

Puget Sound Energy is seeking an Engineer I in Generation Electrical & Controls to join the team. The role focuses on electrical engineering for power generation facilities, including wind, solar, and storage projects.

Hybrid work arrangements are discussed during interviews, with responsibilities spanning field and office settings to support commissioning, design, and maintenance. The candidate will work on PLCs, DCS, SCADA systems, and HMIs, ensuring compliance with NERC and industry standards

Qualifications

ABET accredited, or completed NCEES Credentials evaluated.
Bachelor of Science degree in electrical, mechanical, civil or other appropriate engineering discipline. An EIT or FE certificate may qualify in lieu of ABET accreditation.

Responsibilities

Interpret and modify guidelines for existing problems or processes.
Review and verify complex designs, standards, studies and analyses.
Provide a detailed design review of internal or external technical documents.
Prepare cost estimates and project evaluations without direct supervision.
Plan and develop project budgets with appropriate documentation.
Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and design, operation, and maintenance requirements.
Identify potential weaknesses and initiate corrective action.
