Job summary

Puget Sound Energy's Generation Electrical & Controls (GEC) department seeks an Electrical Engineer II with experience in industrial processes, controls, protective relaying, and plant electrical systems to join our team at multiple generating sites in Washington and Montana.

You will review complex designs, support commissioning, develop PLC/DCS/HMI logic, and lead project initiatives from scope to documentation while ensuring compliance with codes and NERC standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering or PE license; 3+ years in design and project management.
• Experience with wind/solar generation and protective relays.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support commissioning and troubleshoot wind/solar generation.
• Propose control system upgrades and design improvements.
• Manage projects from inception to close-out with scope, budget and schedule.
• Prepare specifications and evaluate vendor proposals.
• Develop HMIs, PLC, and DCS logic.
• Mentor engineers and technicians.
• Support emergency response and ensure NERC compliance.
