Job summary

Puget Sound Energy is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Generation Electrical & Controls (GEC) team in Washington. The role focuses on power plant controls, instrumentation, and reliability across wind, solar, hydro, and storage facilities.

This position blends field and office work in a hybrid arrangement with opportunities to lead commissioning, design reviews, and troubleshooting for complex plant systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree or PE license required.
• Significant project planning, design, cost estimating and scheduling experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Experience with power plant controls and industrial automation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support commissioning and troubleshoot wind/solar generation, instrumentation, PLCs, DCSs, SCADA, and equipment.
• Propose control system upgrades, replacements and design improvements.
• Manage projects from inception to close-out including scope, budget and schedule; lead commissioning and start-up.
• Prepare specifications and evaluate vendor proposals; develop maintenance plans and procedures.
