Job summary

Makino, Inc. in Mason, Ohio is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design controls systems for our machining centers and transport systems. You will develop documentation for standard and custom options per customer requests and maintain electrical documentation per Makino Japan changes.

The role requires knowledge of AutoCAD or similar, ladder logic understanding, and familiarity with industrial electrical standards. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD or other electrical design packages.
• Knowledge of electrical design practices.
• Knowledge of applicable industrial electrical standards & regulations.
• Experience with ladder logic programming is desirable.
• Working knowledge of machine control systems.
• Able to use Office products (Word, Excel).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with leadership to direct peers.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical/control designs for special Makino product options and required documentation.
• Maintain and update electrical documentation per Makino Japan engineering change notices.
• Provide technical support to sales/customers as required.
• Provide technical support to Field Service to support the products.
• Maintain knowledge of local electrical standards and regulations pertaining to Makino products.
• Coordinate with vendors, customers, and Makino teams to complete projects.
