Job summary

Foth, a 100% member-owned science and engineering consulting firm, seeks an experienced Electrical & Controls Designer in Minnesota to support internal and external projects. You will work on process, packaging, utility, and facility electrical systems across various markets.

Key tasks include generating electrical layouts, one-line diagrams, schematics, BOMs, and construction documents using AutoCAD, Electrical, Eplan, MicroStation, Revit, and BIM workflows.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in drafting/design or equivalent technical discipline.
• 5+ years experience as a designer.
• 3+ years with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Eplan, MicroStation, or similar CAD software.
• 3+ years with Revit or other 3D design software.

Responsibilities

• Promote and follow safety policies for Foth and clients.
• Prepare, review, modify, and maintain electrical design drawings and models.
• Develop electrical equipment layouts within 3D models.
• Create electrical designs and construction documents for process, packaging, utility, and facility projects.
• Develop electrical construction packages including diagrams, schematics, BOMs.
• Interpret and implement engineering markups and design revisions.
• Review team work for quality and compliance with standards.
• Coordinate activities with clients, vendors, contractors, and OEMs.
• Distribute drawings through web-based platforms and document management systems.
• Manage multiple priorities independently and in teams.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
