Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced electrical design professional in Minnesota to support internal project teams and external clients. You will develop and maintain electrical layouts, create construction documents, and manage multidisciplinary models using AutoCAD, Eplan, Revit, and related tools.

Key responsibilities include reviewing designs for quality, coordinating with vendors and OEMs, and providing field support during installation and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in drafting/design or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience as a designer.
• 3+ years with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Eplan, MicroStation, or similar CAD.
• 3+ years with Revit or other 3D design software.
• Must complete required drug testing within two business days of offer acceptance.
• Must comply with safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical and controls design support for internal project teams and external clients.
• Prepare, review, modify, and maintain electrical design drawings and models using CAD software.
• Develop and maintain electrical equipment layouts within coordinated multidisciplinary 3D models.
• Create electrical designs and construction documents for process, packaging, utility, and facility projects.
• Develop electrical construction packages including one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and BOMs.
• Interpret and implement engineering markups and design revisions.
• Review team members' design work for quality, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
• Review project drawings, vendor submittals, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate project activities with clients, vendors, contractors, and OEMs.
• Manage project documentation and distribute drawings through document management systems.
• Manage multiple priorities independently and collaboratively within project teams.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders verbally and in writing.
• Provide field support during installation, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working as a designer
• 3+ years of experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Eplan, MicroStation, or similar CAD software
• 3+ years of experience with Revit or other 3D design software
• Must complete required drug testing within two business days of offer acceptance
• Must comply with Foth and client safety policies and procedures
