Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Construction Safety Manager in Ellendale, ND to oversee safety on a large-scale data center electrical construction project. This 1-year, 1099 contractor role requires hands-on field presence and strong OSHA-aligned safety leadership from field crews to project leadership.

You will coordinate with electricians and supervision, enforce LOTO and hazardous-energy control, review JHAs and permits, and drive safe work planning through energization phases.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Construction Certification is required.
• 5+ years of construction safety experience required.
• Experience working with electrical contractors required.
• Electrical construction safety experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily safety activities for electrical construction operations.
• Maintain a strong field presence alongside electricians and project supervision.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, field observations, and risk assessments.
• Monitor electrical installation, conduit, cable, equipment, and infrastructure activities.
• Support temporary power and electrical distribution safety.
• Monitor evolving energization activities as the project progresses.
• Support and enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and hazardous-energy control procedures.
• Monitor electrical safe work practices and required PPE.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific electrical safety requirements.
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), pre-task plans, permits, and energy control procedures.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Maintain safety documentation, reports, inspections, and compliance records.
• Partner with field supervision to proactively identify and mitigate hazards.
• Promote a positive safety culture throughout the project.
