Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Construction Safety Manager in Ellendale, ND for a 1-year, 1099 contractor role. The position focuses on safety oversight for electrical construction activities on a large-scale data center project, with OSHA compliance and energy-control responsibilities.

The role requires OSHA 30 Construction Certification, 5+ years of construction safety experience, and expertise coordinating with electricians and project leadership.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Construction Certification.
• 5+ years of construction safety experience.
• Experience working with electrical contractors.
• Electrical construction safety experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily safety activities for electrical construction operations.
• Maintain a strong field presence alongside electricians and project supervision.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, field observations, and risk assessments.
• Monitor electrical installation, conduit, cable, equipment, and infrastructure activities.
• Support temporary power and electrical distribution safety.
• Monitor evolving energization activities as the project progresses.
• Support and enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and hazardous-energy control procedures.
• Monitor electrical safe work practices and required PPE.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific electrical safety requirements.
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), pre-task plans, permits, and energy control procedures.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Maintain safety documentation, reports, inspections, and compliance records.
• Partner with field supervision to proactively identify and mitigate hazards.
• Promote a positive safety culture throughout the project.
