Job summary

Actalent is seeking an entry-level Safety Coordinator for a Boise, ID electrical construction project. You will support implementation of safety programs, observe field activities, identify hazards, and help ensure OSHA compliance while partnering with project management and field teams.

This role emphasizes hands-on safety training, incident documentation, JHAs/JSAs, and daily safety meetings. You will help maintain records, track training, and assist with safety plans and client requirements

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 Construction certification.
• 0–2 years of construction or trades safety experience.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety procedures.
• Experience with document control and recordkeeping for safety programs.
• Familiarity with JHAs, JSAs, and pre-task planning.
• Exposure to NFPA 70E and electrical safety practices.
• Ability to observe and communicate hazards clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to collaborate with field personnel and safety leadership.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine jobsite safety walks and inspections alongside project and safety leadership to proactively identify hazards and improvement opportunities.
• Identify unsafe conditions and communicate concerns to field supervision for timely correction.
• Assist with the development and review of JHAs, JSAs, and pre-task plans.
• Support safety requirements for electrical construction activities, including LOTO and arc-flash awareness.
• Assist with new-hire and site-specific safety orientations.
• Participate in toolbox talks, pre-task planning, and daily safety meetings.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation including inspection reports and training records.
• Assist with incident and near-miss documentation and investigations.
• Follow up with field teams to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Track required employee training and certifications.
• Assist Safety Managers with project safety plans and client requirements.
• Develop relationships with electricians, foremen, superintendents, and client safety reps.
• Engage in ongoing safety training to build field expertise.
