Job summary

Premier Trade Service in Boise, Idaho is seeking an Electrical Safety Coordinator for a long-term project. You will work hands-on with electricians, foremen, and leadership to enforce safety standards and keep operations moving safely.

You will conduct jobsite inspections, review hazard analyses, lead toolbox talks, and maintain safety documentation while addressing unsafe conditions in the field.

OSHA 30 certification and strong NEC knowledge are required; per diem is available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience as a safety coordinator on a commercial site.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
• Strong NEC knowledge.
• Ability to communicate effectively with electricians, foremen, superintendents, project managers, and contractors.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation, organization, and ability to enforce safety policies consistently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct jobsite inspections and identify electrical and construction hazards.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and company safety requirements.
• Monitor lockout/tagout procedures, energized work, PPE, grounding, and other electrical hazard controls.
• Review Job Hazard Analyses and project-specific electrical safety plans.
• Work with foremen and electricians to correct unsafe practices and implement corrective actions.
• Verify the proper use and condition of electrical tools and PPE.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety orientations, and electrical safety training.
• Assist with incident investigations, reporting, and preventative measures.
• Develop and maintain health and safety plans, policies, and programs.
• Maintain accurate safety records and training documentation.
• Supervise employee activities to ensure adherence to safety standards.
