Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical seeks a field supervisor to oversee construction efforts, ensuring projects are built per design, budget and schedule while coordinating onsite functions and directing craft workers and subcontractors.

You will provide technical guidance, assist with estimating and change orders, monitor productivity and safety, and manage overall contractual performance on assigned projects.

Qualifications

• 4 years of project management/estimating experience in commercial electrical construction and service.
• Electrical license (Journeyman or Master preferred).
• Experience supervising craft workers.
• Knowledge of electrical construction, NEC requirements, estimating, scheduling, and safety.
• MS Office and estimating software experience; ACCUBID a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise total construction effort to ensure projects are built per design, budget and on schedule.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions including scheduling, material control, and support staff.
• Provide direction to craft workers and contractor/sub-contractor workers as required.
• Provide technical assistance: interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment.
• Complete estimating and documentation for extra work and ensure issuance of change orders.
• Manage productivity of craft workers and efficient use of materials and equipment; monitor contractual performance.
