Job summary

Pieper Electric, Inc. is seeking a Project Management Intern to support the safe, efficient delivery of electrical construction projects and to learn the flow from estimate and preconstruction through field execution, billing, closeout, and customer follow-up.

The internship provides meaningful ownership at an appropriate level and helps build technical, business, and professional skills for an early-career role within Pieper.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, Construction Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Building Science, Business, or related field.
• Interest in electrical construction, project management, estimating, engineering, or field operations.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams; willing to learn company project systems and tools.
• Ability to travel locally to project sites and work in office and active construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Support safety orientation and follow all site requirements.
• Assist with project documentation: drawings, submittals, RFIs, notes, schedules.
• Help with permits, inspections, utility locate requests, and site access needs.
• Track activity: materials, equipment, deadlines, open items; communicate status.
• Participate in weekly planning meetings; document decisions and deadlines.
• Assist with cost coding, expense tracking, billing docs, and closeout tasks.
