Job summary

Helix Electric is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to plan, manage, and direct all assigned electrical construction projects. The role emphasizes building strong teams, meeting timelines, and delivering within budget.

You will drive profitability, oversee procurement and contracts, and coordinate with customers and third-party firms to ensure successful project delivery. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience on electrical commercial/mixed-use sites.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, bids, take-offs, change orders, and contracts.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage profitability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and build strong teams for each project while delivering quality output, meeting customer expectations, managing scope, delivering on time, and within budget.
• Drive division profitability through effective project execution.
• Develop and lead project management goals, procurement and contractual requirements, personnel assignments and capacity planning.
• Evaluate and continually improve systems and processes used by the department to meet customer requirements and profitability goals.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a group of direct and total reports.
• Review contractual requirements for projects and process design methodologies.
• Ensure schedule requirements are met for all projects and adjust priorities as needed.
• Interact with customers to validate expectations before, during, and after project completion.
• Provide oversight for third-party construction firms.
• Manage project review with emphasis on financial forecasting and high-quality engineering.
• Proactively communicate challenges, risks, and successes.
• Oversee invoicing per project terms and negotiate change orders.
