Qualifications

• At least 5 years of project management experience in electrical construction.
• Understanding of engineering in electric power.
• Field experience coordinating with construction management.
• Knowledge of scheduling, bids, take-offs, change orders, and contracts.
• Ability to develop relationships and win projects.
• Ability to run a profitable portfolio.
• Strong initiative, execution and communication skills.
• Analytical, motivational, and leadership abilities.
• Electrical engineering or construction management degrees preferred.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and build strong teams for each project and manage scope, budget and on-time delivery.
• Drive division profitability through effective project execution.
• Lead project management goals, procurement, and contractual requirements.
• Improve systems and processes to meet customer needs and profitability.
• Manage and develop a team of direct reports and others.
• Review contractual requirements and project design methodologies.
• Ensure schedules are met and adjust priorities as needed.
• Interface with customers to validate expectations before, during and after project.
• Provide oversight for third-party construction firms.
• Manage project reviews with emphasis on financial forecasting.
• Ensure high-quality engineering, studies, and Helix project delivery.
• Communicate challenges, risks and successes proactively.
• Oversee invoicing per project terms and negotiate change orders.
