Job summary

Clear. is seeking a Project Engineer for commercial electrical construction in California. You will work with senior project managers to support delivery, coordinate project teams, manage scheduling, procurement, and cost control, and communicate with clients.

You will mentor team members, monitor milestones, review invoices, and support change orders, while ensuring quality standards and profitability. A degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management is preferred; Journeyman/Master

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of Project Engineer experience within commercial electrical construction.
• Strong understanding of electrical power systems and engineering principles.
• Field experience coordinating with construction teams and site management.
• Knowledge of project scheduling, estimating, quantity take-offs, change orders and contracts.
• Strong relationship building skills, with the ability to support client development and future project opportunities.
• Understanding of project financials, cost control and maintaining profitability.
• Excellent communication, organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project teams while managing competing priorities.
• A Journeyman or Master Electrician license would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with senior project managers to support the successful delivery of electrical construction projects.
• Help coordinate project teams to ensure work meets quality standards, client expectations, schedules and budget requirements.
• Assist with project planning, procurement, contract administration, scheduling and workforce allocation.
• Support improvements to internal processes, project tracking, cost control and departmental performance.
• Mentor and support team members, helping maintain accountability and strong project execution.
• Monitor project milestones and adjust plans in response to changing priorities, resource availability and client requirements.
• Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure expectations are aligned throughout each project.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and external construction partners to support project progress.
• Assist with project reviews, financial forecasting, cost tracking and profitability.
• Communicate project updates, risks, challenges and progress to relevant stakeholders.
• Support monthly billing, invoice reviews, and change order negotiations.
• Work closely with site superintendents to assess installation methods, labor requirements and manpower planning.
• Help maintain quality control standards and ensure project deliverables meet required specifications.
• Track team deadlines and follow up to ensure assigned tasks are completed on time.
