Job summary

CMD Electric in California seeks an Electrical Assistant Project Manager to support large-scale commercial construction. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams to keep projects on time, within budget, and aligned with safety standards.

You will assist with submittals, RFIs, changes, and schedules while monitoring costs and coordinating with contractors and suppliers. This is a hands-on, growth-focused role in a dynamic electrical construction environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in commercial electrical construction.
• Knowledge of construction documents, specifications, and codes.
• Familiarity with electrical systems and terminology.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Manager across lifecycle from pre-construction to close-out.
• Assist with submittals, RFIs, change orders, meeting minutes, and schedules.
• Track material orders and deliveries to ensure timely site arrival.
• Coordinate with general contractors, vendors, and field staff to maintain project progress.
• Help monitor job costs and forecasts against budgets.
• Participate in job walks and project meetings.
• Assist with project scheduling and safety compliance.
• Contribute to punch lists and project close-out procedures.
