Cochran in Redmond, WA, is seeking a Project Engineer I (Electrical Construction) to support project operations under the Special Projects division. You will coordinate with Project Managers, prepare submittals, schedules, and documentation to ensure quality and timely delivery.

The role emphasizes problem solving, attention to detail, and clear communication in a collaborative team environment, with pay $25-$35/hour DOE and non-exempt status.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Two-year college or technical certificate preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheets, and Smartsheet.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, instructions, and technical documentation.
• Strong reasoning and problem-solving ability.
• Effective communicator in English (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Obtain required information for materials selection, dimensions, and owner/third-party documentation.
• Track jobsite documentation including RFIs, ASIs, and change orders.
• Coordinate efforts with other trades and documentation.
• Prepare submittals, schedules, and O&M manuals.
• Estimate, count, and prepare change orders.
• Track QA procedures, logs, and issues.
• Attend project meetings as assigned.
