Job summary

Gryphon Oakwood is seeking a Project Engineer – Electrical Construction in Phoenix to support delivery of commercial and mission critical electrical projects. You will work with project managers and field leadership across preconstruction, procurement, scheduling, documentation, and controls.

The role involves reviewing drawings, coordinating submittals and RFIs, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting to keep projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in electrical construction, project engineering, or project coordination.
• Experience with commercial, industrial, or mission critical electrical projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, and contracts.
• Knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and field operations.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and electrical safety standards.
• Experience with construction management software (Procore/ESub/MS Office) preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers with successful execution from preconstruction through closeout.
• Coordinate submittals, RFIs, procurement, material tracking, and reporting.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, cost tracking, and project controls.
• Review drawings, specs, and contract documents to support execution.
• Coordinate with field leadership, vendors, subcontractors, and clients to maintain schedules.
• Support planning, manpower coordination, and material procurement.
• Monitor progress, labor productivity, and financial performance; identify risks and opportunities.
• Ensure safety, schedule adherence, budget compliance, and quality standards.
