Job summary

EMCOR Hyre Electric Co. of Indiana, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer to be located in Hobart, Indiana. The Project Engineer will assist the Project Manager with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resolving field problems on electrical construction projects.

The role requires document control, progress tracking, and coordination with foremen, vendors, and clients to ensure safety and adherence to company policies. This is an on-site, non-remote position.

Qualifications

• Experience with project scheduling and coordination on construction projects.
• Ability to communicate with internal departments and external parties.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Manager in driving project flow from start to finish.
• Review documents from estimating; understand scope for turnover.
• Assist with document control, submittals, RFIs, change orders and correspondence.
• Ensure documents are saved in the project document control system.
• Verify drawings distributed to field and track delivery dates.
• Coordinate with foreman on schedule, manpower, and safety.
• Assist with change orders pricing after estimating takeoff.
