Job summary

EC Electric seeks an Assistant Project Manager to provide coordination support across our National Technical Systems Group. The role partners with construction management and field staff to manage project documentation such as submittals, RFIs, and meeting minutes.

You will assist supervision and directing activities, maintain logs in Viewpoint, and help ensure timely billing and contractor payments. Strong reading of electrical drawings is helpful.

Qualifications

• Assist with managing all aspects of project documentation including submittals, RFIs and meeting minutes.
• Assist with supervision and directing project activities as assigned by the PM, including planning and coordinating with PM/PX.
• Assist with the maintenance of all change order, submittal and document control logs within Viewpoint.
• Assist PM and PX with interactions with subcontractors to obtain correct documentation and drawings for Owner and Maintenance Manuals.

Responsibilities

• Create Job Information Sheets and establish job files under the direction of the PM or PX.
• Assume temporary total project supervision responsibilities in the absence of the PM.
• Able to read and basic understand electrical drawings and specifications.
• Assist in establishing workflow breakdowns in conjunction with Field Supervisors and Project Managers.
• Assist in ensuring project billings are accurate and submitted timely, monthly, and per contract documents.
• Assist in writing and submission of quality RFIs.
• Assist PM to ensure timely payments to subcontractors and vendors.
• Review and update status of construction schedules as requested by PM or PX.
• Assist Project Management team with the setup of project budgets in Viewpoint with Field Supervisor.
