Job summary

Sturgeon Electric Company, Inc. is seeking a Project Coordinator to support construction management functions within the electrical industry. You will interface with senior project professionals and assist with project documentation, billing, and contract management.

You will coordinate activities from planning to final completion, maintain project files, and support accounting for timely vendor payments. The role emphasizes collaboration, accuracy, and proactive problem solving.

Qualifications

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to think practically to solve office problems and interface with senior project personnel.
• Excellent computer skills including MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee construction projects from planning through final completion.
• Prepare, review, and distribute project documentation including subcontract, billings, lien waivers, and change orders.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure project goals are met.
• Maintain project files and ensure records are accurate and accessible.
• Assist with obtaining Certificates of Insurance and compliance documentation.
• Track and process invoices; verify accuracy against contracts and POs.
• Generate and submit billing documents including progress billings and changes.
• Provide administrative support such as document control and contract management.
• Work with accounting to ensure timely vendor payments and resolve discrepancies.
