Job summary

Sturgeon Electric Company is seeking a Project Engineer I to support construction management activities across federal, state, and municipal projects in the United States. You will assist with plans, specifications, and provide general project support to senior management.

The role requires 1–3 years in construction, a related bachelor’s degree, and familiarity with blueprints and scheduling tools. On-site field work and collaboration with safety teams are essential components of the job.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in the construction process of commercial electrical operations or general construction.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field; a combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Interpret applicable construction drawings and review plans and specifications.
• Prepare checklists of contract features requiring attention and items sub-contractors must submit for approval.
• Assist with cost estimates and project scheduling; maintain accurate records.
• Prepare statements of work, submittals, change management and daily/weekly reporting.
• Promote safety compliance and inspect workmanship, materials and progress in the field.
