Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred; or 10 years of purchasing experience in lieu of a degree.
• Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar procurement role within electrical or construction industries.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Vendor Selection: Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms, and establish relationships for reliable sources.
• Purchasing: Place orders for electrical materials and supplies to meet project requirements while optimizing cost.
• Inventory Management: Maintain records, track usage, and replenish stock to prevent shortages.
• Cost Control: Monitor pricing trends and implement cost-saving strategies.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure purchased materials meet required standards.
• Documentation: Maintain records of procurement activities including POs and invoices.
• Communication: Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and team members.
