Job summary

SpaceXAI is seeking an experienced construction engineer/manager in Memphis to design, build, and activate high‑voltage to low‑voltage electrical infrastructure, including BESS and data-center power systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, power systems, or related field (civil/ME/construction mgmt with electrical exp considered).
• 5+ years in electrical construction, power systems, substations, data-center electrical infra, BESS, or facilities electrical mgmt.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full lifecycle of electrical construction projects (HV substations, transformers, switchgear, BESS, data-center power distribution, UPS, generators, LV systems).
• Manage multi-discipline projects in field and office; act as project manager and owner.
• Perform project control tasks including scheduling, cost control, and commissioning coordination.
• Interact with electrical contractors, fabricators, OEMs, utilities, and internal customers.
• Resolve design/construction conflicts in field for HV, MV, LV systems.
• Provide budgetary costs based on preliminary electrical scope.
• Gather proposals; assign contracts upon receipt of all proposals.
• Facilitate city/county/utility/environmental approvals (interconnection, permitting).
• Coordinate implementation, delivery, installation, testing, energization, turnover.
• Coordinate with end users, facilities, operations for building power reliability.
• Develop tools for space allocation, power capacity planning, load growth in Memphis campus.
• Coordinate electrical real-estate and utility planning; take on new projects as needed.
