Job summary

EC Electric is seeking an Electrical Construction Project Manager for Special Projects in Portland, Oregon. The role oversees 3–5 active projects with responsibility for safety, budget adherence, and quality assurance.

You will collaborate with General Contractors, subcontractors, and owners, driving project controls, schedules, and documentation while mentoring junior staff and maintaining strong client relationships. This on-site position is supported by a dedicated Special Projects Group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience in a related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience on commercial electrical construction projects and multi-project portfolios.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, change orders, claims resolution, cost control, and contract administration skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate with GCs, subcontractors, vendors, and owners and build long-term client relationships.
• Knowledge of scheduling, look-ahead planning, and project controls using Viewpoint or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams and manage 3–5 active electrical construction projects.
• Develop execution plans and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Manage contract administration, documentation, and scope changes.
• Coordinate with Estimating to review estimates, turnover, and procurement.
• Mentor assistant project managers and field staff and maintain customer relationships.
