Job summary

Targa Resources is seeking an Electrical Construction Specialist to provide technical oversight and field support for electrical construction activities across facilities in the region. The role ensures adherence to NEC/NFPA codes, safety standards, and company specifications during installation, modification, and maintenance of electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Must have strong knowledge of electrical systems including power distribution, motor control, grounding and protective devices.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA and applicable industry standards.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-lines, schematics and installation details.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight for electrical construction activities, ensuring compliance with company standards and codes.
• Oversee electrical inspectors to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, and installation practices during project execution.
• Assist operations with electrical modifications to existing facilities, including troubleshooting and implementing changes safely.
• Verify proper installation of electrical equipment such as switchgear, MCCs, transformers, motors, VFDs, and grounding systems.
• Coordinate pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up efforts for electrical systems.
• Participate in MOC and PSSR processes.
• Review and validate electrical work packages, redlines, and as-built documentation.
