Job summary

Targa Resources seeks an Electrical Engineer to design, evaluate, and support electrical systems for its midstream facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

You will provide technical expertise across the project lifecycle, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support safe, reliable, and efficient facility operations. The role requires coordinating with operations, construction, and EHS to optimize energy use and reliability.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Knowledge of NFPA, NEC, API standards and related codes.
• Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Specify and evaluate electrical equipment for operations and complex projects.
• Prepare technical bids, proposals, and evaluations.
• Analyze designs of electrical systems including power, distribution, control, and lighting systems.
• Review utility contracts with outside vendors and negotiate when needed.
• Provide written reports, consultations, and studies on electrical systems and safety.
