Job summary

TransCore seeks an Electrical Construction Field Engineering Supervisor to lead technicians in Hayward, CA. The role includes on-site installation of electronic and low-voltage equipment, field support, and coordination with the Installation Manager to minimize downtime and cost.

The successful candidate will supervise labor, assist in proposals, and ensure safety and policy compliance across field activities. Strong hands-on experience with relevant tools and equipment is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires 6+ years of experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Knowledge of roadway electrical and civil construction.
• Experience with ITS device installation and troubleshooting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with equipment operation (aerial lifts, commercial vehicles).
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support equipment installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Generate documentation supporting installation activity and status updates.
• Assist in evaluating and generating proposals detailing time, labor, materials, and equipment.
• Collaborate with Installation Manager and customers to determine best solutions.
• Train technicians on newly installed equipment.
