Job summary

Targa Resources is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, evaluate, and support electrical systems for midstream facilities, ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and provide technical expertise across the project lifecycle.

This role involves preparing scopes of work, leading field supervision, and driving continuous improvements to energy efficiency and safety.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering from a 4-year accredited university.
• Knowledge of NFPA, NEC, and API electrical standards.
• Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Specify, evaluate, and select electrical equipment for operations and major projects.
• Prepare technical bids and proposals and perform evaluations.
• Analyze designs of electrical systems including power distribution and control systems.
• Review utility contracts with outside vendors.
• Provide technical reports, studies, and NEC/API interpretations.
• Develop and review short circuit, voltage drop, and relay coordination studies.
