HDR, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Construction Inspector to join the Transportation Business Group. The role involves inspecting electrical, controls, fiber, and related systems at transportation facilities such as airports, tunnels, bridges, and ports.

The candidate will read drawings, oversee testing and commissioning, and collaborate with field staff and project managers. Requirements include a degree in electrical engineering (or related field), NICET II or equivalent, and 3+ years of

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering or related field; NICET II certification or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years inspecting electrical power and communications work on major transportation projects for public agencies.
• Proficient in MS Office; strong documentation and communication abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs; identify discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical, controls, high/low voltage, fiber, and related systems at transportation facilities.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, identifying conflicts.
• Collaborate with field representatives and Project Managers.
• Observe and document construction progress and oversee testing, commissioning, and acceptance of systems.
