Job summary

Morrow-Meadows Corporation in Poway, CA seeks an experienced Estimator to analyze drawings and prepare estimates for electrical, mechanical, and related projects. You will organize bid documents, perform takeoffs, and close bids with accurate quotes while coordinating with subcontractors and clients.

Responsibilities include preparing proposals, meeting with clients, and providing cost-effective alternatives through value engineering.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Office and general computer skills.
• Electrical knowledge in commercial/industrial construction incl. low voltage.
• Strong math and accounting aptitude.
• Ability to meet tight schedules and deadlines.
• Team-oriented with dependable self-motivation.
• Excellent client/customer interaction skills.
• Experience with estimating software tools (Bluebeam, Accubid, Revit, CAD).

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings and documents to prepare time, cost, material, and labor estimates.
• Organize bid documents; perform take-offs; submit bid RFI’s and finalize bids.
• Coordinate with subcontractors/suppliers; review quotes against plans.
• Consult with clients and internal teams to discuss estimates and pre-bid issues.
• Prepare detailed proposals and meet with clients to review estimates.
• Attend job walks, pre-bid meetings, and business development events.
• Provide cost alternatives and value engineering as needed.
• Lead or support kickoff meetings and coordinate with project managers.
