Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical systems in construction projects, ensuring effective cost management and project success.

Responsibilities include reviewing plans, collaborating with project teams, developing cost management plans, and performing cost risk analysis. On-site collaboration may be required as client needs arise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience supporting program level cost management for medium or large-scale construction projects.
• Good knowledge of electrical systems and construction industry technical matters.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical systems in construction projects.
• Review project plans and specifications to determine scope of work and required materials.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop comprehensive cost management plans.
• Analyze project requirements and provide value engineering options.
• Perform cost risk analysis and provide input into value engineering.
• Communicate and collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Utilize estimating software and tools to prepare estimates.
• Provide estimating advice, guidance, and analysis to project stakeholders.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of estimating processes and methodologies.
• Prepare formal estimating reports including quantity, cost, escalation and clarifications.
