Job summary
Berkshire Hathaway Energy seeks an Engineer – Electrical Compression I/II/Sr. to support our Pleasant Valley and Leesburg stations in VA.
The role requires a bachelor’s in electrical engineering or related field and hands‑on experience with industrial control systems and Rockwell platforms. You will provide engineering support, troubleshoot compressors, interface with multiple teams, and ensure safety, reliability and compliance in a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or engineering technology from an accredited institution.
- Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, automation, networking and electrical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering and technical assistance to field operations and engineering groups for compression systems design, installation and repair.
- Interface with engineering, construction, field operations and vendors to ensure safe, efficient operation.
- Lead testing and troubleshooting of control systems and maintain documentation.
- Develop scopes of work and ensure change control compliance.
- Support cyber security policies compliance for control systems.
- Mentor less experienced engineers in software development and testing.
- Perform site inspections and maintain accurate drawings and configuration control.
