Vertiv Corporation seeks a Component Engineer to identify electrical and mechanical components for UPS and power distribution products. You will create and revise drawings, assemblies, and specs, releasing changes via ECO in the PLM system while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet schedules.

The role requires a strong engineering background, CAD proficiency (CREO/SolidEdge), and experience with NEC/UL requirements, BOM management, and supplier engagement.

Competenze

• BS in Electrical, Mechanical or Interdisciplinary Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Strong electrical and mechanical engineering background or knowledge.
• Ability to read and understand schematics and single-line diagrams.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software (CREO and/or SolidEdge preferred).
• Knowledge of 3-phase transformers, power conversion and NEC basics.
• Experience with PLM systems and BOM/Engineering Change Order management.
• Experience with UPS, Static Switches or Power Distribution products is a plus.

Mansioni

• Identify new electrical or mechanical components to meet system requirements.
• Interface with suppliers to source parts and improve supply chain robustness.
• Create or revise part specs, assemblies, drawings, schematics, harnesses, etc.
• Ensure components meet UL/CE/NEC requirements and update UL files as needed.
• Release designs to production via Engineering Change Orders in the PLM database.
• Identify potential VAVE opportunities and support product changes to resolve field issues.
