Job summary

ESPO Corporation in Wallingford, CT is seeking an Electrical CAD Technician for a 12-month contract to hire. You will revise drawings, prepare basic component drawings from verbal or written instructions, and ensure compliance with drafting standards.

• Learn and follow procedures and practices of a discipline; perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

• The Drafter position will require strong interpersonal, communication and time management skills, as well as demonstrate the ability to function in a team environment.
• Responsibilities include revising existing drawings and preparing drawings of basic components from explicit verbal or written instructions or detailed sketches.
• This position successfully plots drawings; learns and follows company and client drafting standards and procedures; learns the practices of a selected discipline.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED and course work in drafting technology Required or specialized CAD certification Required.
• Min 1 yr relevant experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
