Equity Staffing Group is hiring an Electrical CAD Technician in Centennial, CO!
This is an entry-level contract-to-hire opportunity where character, communication, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn matter just as much as technical experience.

• Location: Centennial, CO 80112
• Pay: $25-$28/hr, depending on experience
• Type: Contract-to-Hire
• Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite - no remote/hybrid option

As an Electrical CAD Technician, you'll support engineering and design teams working on federal projects and gain hands-on experience in a professional engineering environment. Your day-to-day work will include:

• Revising existing electrical drawings and preparing drawings for basic components based on verbal/written instructions and detailed sketches.
• Working primarily with AutoCAD and/or Bentley MicroStation.
• Applying client-specific drafting standards and procedures.
• Working with both vector and raster drawing files.
• Reviewing drawings for completeness and accuracy before submitting them for engineering review.
• Accurately tracking and documenting time spent on projects.
• Working collaboratively with engineers, designers, and other team members.
• Taking direction and asking questions when needed.
• Supporting additional project and drafting needs as assigned.

Required:

• High school diploma and coursework in drafting technology or specialized CAD certification.
• 0-2 years of professional drafting experience.
• Basic proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD or Bentley MicroStation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities.
• Ability to take direction and work effectively with people at all levels.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Motivation to learn and grow within an engineering/design environment.

Education Notes:

• An Associate's degree in Computer-Aided Drafting & Design is welcome and desirable.
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program is not eligible for this position.
• Internships do not count toward the required 0-2 years of professional drafting experience.
• Please list "Completed" next to your highest completed degree on your resume.

Certification is preferred, but not required. The following CAD certifications are especially relevant:

• Autodesk Certified User (ACU)
• Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP)
• Autodesk Certified Expert (ACE)
