Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a CAD Operator II to create and revise electrical design drawings using MicroStation and AutoCAD Electrical for generation stations, substations, and related facilities. The role develops design skills and works with greater independence over time.

Responsibilities include preparing precise drawings from various inputs, maintaining CAD standards, and ensuring accurate documentation within the company system. Hybrid work schedule after onboarding is available.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Computer Aided Drafting Technology or equivalent required.
• Alternatively, High School/GED with 7+ years relevant experience accepted.
• Experience with CAD software and drawing standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares accurate drawings from verbal/written instructions and field measurements.
• Develops standards and blocks to create clearer drawings.
• Maintains updated electronic drawings in the document system.
