Job summary

American Emergency Vehicles (AEV) is a leading ambulance manufacturer producing Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3 units. The Drafter I Electrical role supports the engineering team by creating detailed CAD drawings and schematics from various inputs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.

Ideal candidates have an associated degree in engineering or technology and up to two years of drafting experience, with strong CAD/CAE skills and good communication.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred.
• 0-2 years of related drafting experience.
• Experience with CAD/CAE software.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine drafting support and prepare drawings from markups and verbal instructions.
• Coordinate with engineers or designers to complete projects and resolve design issues.
• Review specifications, sketches, and data to assess design factors and procedures.
• Modify designs to correct deficiencies or reduce production problems.
• Maintain CAD standards and library of production drawings for easy access.
