Job summary

The CAD Drafter is responsible for creating and maintaining distribution standards, drawings, and technical documents that support the engineering design and construction of the electric distribution system. Develops drawings ranging from standard to complex and ensures all documentation ensures line personnel safety while advancing system reliability and resiliency.

Required: Associate’s degree in CAD or Equivalent CAD Drafting Certification; 3 years of experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation;

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in CAD or equivalent CAD drafting certification.
  • 3 years of experience using AutoCAD or MicroStation.
  • Knowledge of distribution standards and ability to produce accurate drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Create, revise, and maintain distribution drawings and standards.
  • Review and interpret redlines to update drawings and standards.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support engineering design.
