Job summary

Flexton Inc. is seeking an experienced CAD engineer to design electrical systems for complex projects. You will develop manufacturing-ready documentation, BOMs, and wire schedules, ensuring revisions are controlled within PLM/PDM systems.

Strong knowledge of electrical principles and wiring practices is required. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of CAD experience using Inventor, AutoCAD Electrical, and KiCad, and familiarity with industry standards. DOE/industrial project exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Drafting/Design, or related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience producing electrical CAD designs using Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD Electrical, KiCad, or equivalent software.
• Demonstrated experience developing manufacturing-ready electrical documentation, including: Bills of materials.
• Demonstrated experience developing manufacturing-ready electrical documentation, including: Wire and cable schedules.
• Experience developing and maintaining revision-controlled engineering documentation within Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
• Working knowledge of electrical engineering principles, electrical components, schematic development, and wiring practices.
• Familiarity with applicable industry standards and codes relevant to electrical design activities.

• Experience integrating electrical and mechanical CAD models.
• Experience using Windchill for engineering document and configuration management.
• Experience supporting fabrication, assembly, installation, or commissioning of complex engineered systems.
